The Jaguars have positively identified two people who threw bottles, trash and other items at Seahawks defensive end Quinton Jefferson during Seattle’s Dec. 10 loss to Jacksonville.
“It was concluded that four individuals threw objects onto the field (in December). Based on available video evidence, we were able to positively identify two of these individuals,” the Jaguars staff said in an email to the Florida Times-Union. “These two individuals have since received notice that due to the severity of the violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, they are banned indefinitely.”
The incident originally occurred in the final minutes of the game, when Jefferson was being escorted to the locker room after being ejected. A fan hurled a drink at Jefferson’s head. Jefferson confronted the fans, at which point another drink was thrown at him, prompting him to attempt to climb into the stands.
