The Seahawks placed right guard Oday Aboushi on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, calling up linebacker Paul Dawson from their practice squad to take his roster spot.
A shoulder injury has kept Aboushi out for the last three games.
Can the Seahawks beat the Rams without Bobby Wagner?
Dawson gives Seattle some needed depth at linebacker, as Pro Bowlers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright both left last Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars due to injury and may not be able to play this week against the Los Angeles Rams.
A third-round pick in 2015 for Cincinnati, Dawson played 13 games with the Bengals. He was waived prior to the 2017 regular season.
Aboushi, 26, signed with the Seahawks as a free agent last offseason and started eight games at right guard before suffering his shoulder injury. He played 15 games with the New York Jets in 2014 and 11 combined games with the Houston Texans in 2015 and 2016.
