Offensive tackle Duane Brown is the kind of player that could solidify the Seahawks’ offensive line, Fox Sports NFL analyst and former pro lineman Mark Schlereth told 710 ESPN Seattle’s Danny, Dave and Moore on Monday evening.
“He’s a really good football player, a really good left tackle,” Schlereth said shortly after news of the deal broke. “I think it’s a huge move by the Seahawks.”
The trade, which reportedly sends cornerback Jeremy Lane, a 2018 fifth-round draft pick and a 2019 second-round pick, is “a steal” to net the Seahawks a three-time Pro Bowler, Schlereth said.
“Obviously he’s big and he’s got the ability to be physical and all that stuff, but he moves exceptionally well,” Schlereth said of Brown. “He’s an exceptionally gifted athlete.”
