Center Justin Britt is questionable for Seattle’s Week 8 matchup against the Texans, Carroll told reporters Friday. Should Britt – who practiced Friday – be able to start, backup center Ethan Pocic will start at left guard.

“(Britt) made it through the practice, we’re listing him as questionable just to see what happens tomorrow, but he did well today,” Carroll said. “We’ll see what that means.”
Running back C.J. Prosise (ankle) did not practice Friday. While he has not been officially declared out, Carroll intimated it is unlikely Prosise will see the field this week.
“I don’t know how he could overcome this. He’s doubtful right now, and maybe something happens tomorrow, or Sunday. So he’s not looking like he’s got a great chance to play.”
Prosise re-injured his ankle in Week 7, which set his recovery back at least a couple days.
Cornerback Jeremy Lane is dealing with a groin injury and, now, injuries to two fingers. He was able to practice Friday, though remains a game-time decision. Defensive end Marcus Smith (ankle) should play, barring setback.
Carroll emphatically reiterated that newly-signed defensive end Dwight Freeney will also see playing time.
“He’s picked stuff up immediately, I don’t know how he could learn so fast,” Carroll said. “He just learned it and has great feel for it… no hesitation on playing him this weekend, he’s ready to go.”
