RENTON – Jimmy Graham is a question mark this week and not just because he has four receptions for 9 yards over Seattle’s first two games.
His status for Sunday’s game in Tennessee is in doubt after the tight end missed practice on Wednesday because of the ankle injury he suffered during Sunday’s victory over the 49ers.
Clayton: May be time for Seahawks to allow Graham to regroup
“We’ll wait a couple of days to see how he does,” Carroll said. “He’s had the same injury before, and we think he’s got a chance to do it. His mind is that he can play. We’ll have to wait and see later in the week.”
Graham appeared to suffer the injury on a running play in the first half. He blocked defensive end Arik Armstead – a former first-round pick – on the play. Armstead shrugged off Graham’s attempt at a block, which prevented the run play from getting to the outside. As players piled up, Graham was hit by San Francisco linebacker Aaron Lynch and Graham then fell over the pile and landed hard.
He was slow to get off the field and was initially evaluated by trainers for a potential knee injury, but it has turned out that his ankle is the issue that has his status a question mark this week.
