The opportunity for your first taste of baseball in 2015 comes your way Jan. 24-25 at the 17th annual Seattle Mariners FanFest, taking place at Safeco Field.
Guests scheduled to appear include current players Nelson Cruz, Mike Zunino, James Paxton, Charlie Furbush, J.A. Happ, Austin Jackson, Taijuan Walker and Mike Zunino. Future Stars in attendance will include Alex Jackson, Patrick Kivlehan, D.J. Peterson and John Hicks. A special edition of “The Hot Stove” will be broadcast from FanFest on Saturday, Jan. 24 from noon to 2 p.m., with many of the above joining us.
Dugout Dialogues with players, coaches and front office personnel will take place in the Mariners dugout on both days. Players will also take part in various forms of social media throughout the weekend. As always, there will be autograph sessions – tickets that are distributed on entry to FanFest are required – with a schedule to be announced the week of the event.
There will be a number of on-field activities that fans can participate in including a run around the bases, zip line, throw a pitch in the bullpen, our own 710 ESPN Home Run Challenge, and the new “Let the Arrow Fly,” where you are invited to snap a picture of yourself launching a post-game arrow from the mound.
Off the field, fans can tour the Mariners clubhouse, participate in a “Mariners Melee” Family Feud-style trivia game, tour the roof control room and more. For a full rundown of activities visit the FanFest page on mariners.com.
Tickets for FanFest go on sale Thursday Jan. 8, at 10 a.m. at mariners.com and Mariners Team Stores. Kids 14 and younger get in free, and adult tickets are $10. Parking at the Safeco Field garage is $5 if bought in advance, $10 on the day of the event.
One additional ticket note: Tickets for Opening Day will be available during a special pre-sale leading up to and during FanFest, with season-ticket holders allowed to purchase tickets (online only) at noon Jan. 22. Mariners Mail subscribers, Mariners social media followers and Ticketmaster subscribers can purchase Opening Day tickets starting at noon Jan. 2 – again online only. All fans can purchase tickets from 10 a.m. Jan. 24 until 11:59 pm Jan. 26 at the Safeco Field box office, Mariners Team Stores and on mariners.com/tickets.
Opening Day tickets will be available again starting Saturday March 7, the day single-game tickets go on sale to the public.
