The Mariners will turn to Ariel Miranda and his 3.81 ERA in their series finale at Safeco Field against the Angels at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle.
Miranda is 2-2 with 24 strikeouts and seven walks over 26 innings in five starts this season. He was strong in his last outing, holding Cleveland to one run on two hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings. The 28-year-old lefty has been he has been effective for the most part, but he has made it through six innings on the mound just once so far in 2017.
Wednesday: Segura drives in 4 as Mariners come back to beat Angels
Seattle’s lineup will remain the same as it was for the first two games against the Angels, with Jean Segura leading off, Ben Gamel and Guillermo Heredia in the corner outfield spots, and Danny Valencia and Mike Zunino playing their regular positions of first base and catcher, respectively.
The Angels will start rookie right-hander Alex Meyer on the mound and give superstar center fielder Mike Trout a day off – no doubt a welcome sight for the Mariners.
Coverage begins at 6 on 710 ESPN Seattle with the pregame show.
