Today on the show Kevin,Seattlepi.com writer Jim Moore, and former beat writer John Peoples all gave their thoughts on the All-Star Game and the weight that it carries.
Kevin doesn’t like the structure of the All-Star Game. He thinks it shouldn’t determine who has home field advantage in the world series.“I’m not going to belabor the point, I think it’s a flawed system. I think they ought to go back to either alternating it or better yet best record gets home field advantage.”
Moore was pleased to see Ichiro being more personable at the All-Star Game.” “Ichiro said he wanted to say ‘wassup’ to Obama but then he chickened out and got nervous. Just little things like that are nice to help humanize the guy.”It was quite a coincidence because yesterday he talked about how he wished he could see Ichiro being more outgoing and personable.
Kevin also wasn’t pleased with Obama’s first pitch, saying, “The President, the Commander in Chief, the leader of the free freaking world to throw that ball up there with a left hand as he did, a lollipop–it was embarrassing.”
