Mariners potential trades and what the rest of the season holds for the M’s – time for the roundup:

Kevin talked with Craig Coshun of FSN North about what the Mariners could be getting if they dealt Washburn, and landed Hardy, saying, “I mean, he is a tremendous defender and he can get into a hitting groove–everyone thinks that this guy is capable of hitting twenty home runs and batting .270 every year.” Coshun also raved about Hardy’s arm, saying,“He has one of, if not the best arms in either league at shortstop.”

Rob Neyer of ESPN.com came on to talk Marinersas well. Neyer thinks that this past series against the Indians has ruined the Mariner’s playoff hopes,“It’s probably time to give up on the season.” Neyer also thinks the Mariners need to part ways with Washburn, saying,“Now it’s time to build for the future and if that means trading Jarrod Washburn for a top prospect, I think you have to take that deal.”
