Are You Comfortable In Your Pants?

That’s right folks, that was the question of the day. Jim Mora sparked it all at his press conference this morning when discussing the new uniforms – he had a little ‘artistic assistance’ in this rendition.
So can new uniforms truly change performance on the field? I’m serious – you know that saying, ‘you look good, you feel good’ – well what if it carries over to ‘you feel good, you play good’?
I decided to go to the source – the Seahawks. Deon Butler, owner of that amazing catch you saw on Sunday, joined me today. And I asked him, ‘Deon, are you comfortable in your pants?’
“I feel very comfortable in my pants. Everyone’s getting comfortable in their pants.”
Well, the Seahawks have obviously bought in – but how about the rest of the world? No joke, we called Mike Ditka and asked him. Yes, we actually asked Iron Mike whether or not pants matter in a football game.
“It sounds like an inside pants job to me.”
Wow.
After a response like that, I felt comfortable enough to ask him our question of the day: Mike Ditka, are you comfortable in your pants?
“Absolutely, I’m pretty happy in my pants – if it works, do it.”
Having adequately surveyed the scene when it comes to being comfortable in one’s pants, I started fielding a lot of response regarding the various styles the Seahawks have sported lately.
The ‘rave green’ jerseys got the most attention – and to the delight of many, Coach Mora officially ‘retired’ them today. Though he says it’s because the team ‘didn’t win in them’, I suspect it had something to do with the color.
But what do I know? We turned to the expert – ‘Tim Gunn’ of ‘Project Runway’. He had suggestions from swooping haircuts to Seahawks fanny-packs. I suggest you listen to all of it here.
Are you happy in your pants? What do you think about the retirement of the ‘rave green’? Leave ’em below!
