THE LEAD: LenDale White is released by the Seahawks. John Clayton said:
“It’s more the behavior than the fact that he’s getting a four-game suspension for violations of the substance policy. This goes into a pattern of behavior apparently, of late, where he wasn’t listening to the coaches as well…and I guess thinking he had an entitlement coming here with Pete Carroll. I think they went into this relationship on the trade knowing there was a likelihood of a four-game suspension, they weren’t as bothered by that. What they were bothered by was that he just wasn’t listening like they wanted him to.”
On the lighter side of things: After discussing his inspiring battle with leukemia, charity efforts and his new job as strength coach of the UW football team, our resident Coug Jim Moore and Kenechi Udeze engaged in some back-and-forth banter about USC’s dynasty and the dismal state of Cougar football. Listen here for the smackdown.
In Other News: The Mariners have 20 games in 20 days – was the 2-game win-streak what they needed to turn it around? It all begins with the Angels tonight.
