Former Sonic great, Gary Payton, joined Kevin Calabro and Jim Moore to discuss his thoughts on the NBA Finals, among other things. Here’s what he had to say about Kobe Bryant in Game 1:
“Kobe has put it in his mind that he’s not going to let the 2008 series reoccur to this year. They did a great job on him in 2008, where they denied him the ball, working Paul Pierce, and then people were just sucking in. I think Boston is not as good of a basketball defensive team as they were then during that time.”
