NEW ORLEANS – Michael Bennett is inactive for Sunday’s game, but you already knew that. Seattle’s Pro Bowl defensive lineman was ruled out on Friday.
He isn’t going to be active for at least the next few weeks either, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Bennett reportedly will undergo an arthroscopic procedure this week to repair cartilage in his knee. Schefter estimated recovery time at two to three weeks.
Second-year Seattle defensive lineman Frank Clark is expected to assume a starting role in Bennett’s absence.
Other inactive players for Seattle against the Saints: SS Kam Chancellor, CB DeAndre Elliott, RB Thomas Rawls, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, T Bradley Sowell, TE Luke Willson.
For the Saints, LT Terron Armstead – who was listed as questionable – is active. The players ruled out for New Orleans: WR Jake Lampman, RB/RS Marcus Murphy, CB Sterling Moore, CB Delvin Breaux, LB Stephone Anthony, G/T Khalif Barnes, OL Landon Turner.
