Tom Wilhelmsen, Mariners relief pitcher, joined The Kevin Calabro Show to talk about his time away from baseball and how he made it back.
Even before he’s made his debut with the Mariners, he’s starting off on the right foot in Seattle, telling Kevin and Jim all about his experiences on and off the field. It’s not every day a pitcher quotes “Wayne’s World” in an interview.
Wilhelmsen was out of baseball for six years, bartending at The Hut in Tucson, AZ to pay the bills, when he decided to give baseball another shot.
His path to the Mariners opening day roster is entertaining, inspiring and an all-together great listen – and it can be heard right here!
