Former Husky Desmond Trufant invited to combine

Former Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant was, by all accounts, a standout during Senior Bowl week last month. Now comes the next portion of the pre-draft process: the NFL scouting combine.

Trufant is one of 333 draft prospects who have been invited to the combine, which takes place later this month in Indianapolis. Trufant is the only former Husky invited.

The list was announced Thursday. It also includes wide receiver Marquess Wilson, who quit Washington State’s team midway through last season.

The NFL Network will air the combine workouts. Defensive backs work out on the final day, Feb. 26.
