A 38-6 dismantling of No. 19 Boise State has elevated Washington into the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Washington checks in at No. 20 in the AP rankings and No. 23 in the coaches poll. In each poll, the Huskies were one of two previously unranked teams who moved into the top 25 after the opening weekend of college football. Baylor, No. 23 in the AP rankings, and Miami (Fla.), No. 24 in the coaches poll, are the others.
Alabama remains at No. 1 in each poll.
Washington has a bye this weekend before playing Illinois at Soldier Field in Chicago on Sept. 14.
