Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports first reported the news Friday morning

Wilcox would join former Huskies head coach Steve Sarkisian and a number of other former Washington assistants at USC. Sarkisian left UW at the end of the regular season to take the Trojans’ head job.

Wilcox, 37, joined the Huskies in 2012, and took them from 108th in scoring defense in 2011 to 34th this season. Before moving to Washington, Wilcox spent four years as Boise State’s defensive coordinator from 2006 to 2009, then had a two-year stint as Tennessee’s defensive coordinator.

710 ESPN Seattle will carry the Fight Hunger Bowl live from San Francisco. Washington and BYU will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
