Nelson Cruz is back in the Mariners’ lineup as the DH for their series opener with the Angels on Friday after missing the past two games with a hand injury.
Also notable for Seattle is that recently-acquired outfielder Ben Gamel is hitting leadoff and playing right field in his debut for the team.
Ariel Miranda is on the mound for the M’s and Brett Oberholtzer will throw for Anaheim in a battle of lefty starters in the 7:10 game, which will air live on 710 ESPN Seattle. The pregame show starts at 6.
