Final spring scrimmage tomorrow

Apr 15, 2011, 10:13 AM

Paul Wulff will take his squad up to Joe Albi stadium for the final spring scrimmage (which, apparently, is no longer called the Crimson and Gray game) which will take place at 3pm on Saturday. Admission is free and there’s a Fan Fest Tailgate beginning at 1pm which will feature autograph sessions, games for the kids, food and, of course, a beer garden.

Here are coach Wulff’s thoughts on the game and the progress made in spring practice (love him or hate him, I think we can all agree that the guy can work on at least appearing a little bit excited to talk about his team):

Ken Bone announced this week that the Cougs have joined the field for November’s 76 Classic in Anaheim.

This is another ESPN event, much like last season’s Diamond Head Classic and is another way for the Cougs to showcase their talent on a national stage. Also, it’s a great opportunity for fans to take part in a fun event centered around Disneyland and whatever else happens in Anaheim (Katella Deli?).

The Cougs will join Boston College, Oklahoma, New Mexico, St. Louis, Santa Clara, UC Riverside and Villanova.

Here’s the website for more information: www.76classic.com

If you haven’t yet checked out the new official WSU athletics website, check it out at www.wsucougars.com. It’s yet another impressive change brought on by Bill Moos’s re-branding effort.
