A bunch of notes to start off the week

Sep 26, 2011, 10:45 PM

The UCLA game on October 8th was picked up for TV today, and will air on Fox Sports at 7:30pm. This will be the national broadcast, so all of America will be treated to Marquess Wilson shaming the Bruin the secondary.

The basketball season opener against Gonzaga is still about a month and a half away, but there was a great article in the Spokesman Review last week that’s a must-read. Check it out here to get updated on all the new faces and get Ken Bone’s take on the team gearing up without Klay Thompson and DeAngelo Casto.

WSU is giving the fans a chance to choose the uniform combination for the October 15th Homecoming match up against Stanford, so channel your inner Tim Gunn and head here to vote for your favorite.

For the record, I went with the all gray with the crimson helmet. Don’t ask me why, I just think it looks cool. You have until October 11th to make your voice heard.

Here’s a quick video from Director of Athletics Bill Moos about the rebranding effort on campus. Obviously, this is step one, but the there’s no denying the transformation is impressive all ready.

Finally, for those of you who like to cheer the ladies who cheer the teams, the WSU Crimson Girls poster will soon be released. In the meantime, you can head here to check out the video of the photo shoot.

Go Cougs!
