It was the Brock Motum show in Beasley Coliseum on Sunday, as the junior forward scored 27 points and had 7 rebounds leading the Cougs past Santa Clara in a big way, 93-55.
The Cougs started quickly, jumping out to a 15-5 lead in the first four and a half minutes and never looked back. They had runs of 9-2 and 8-0 to close out the first half with a 48-27 lead.
The second half was more of the same, with the Cougs shooting 71.4 percent from the field.
Center Charlie Enquist continued his solid play, notching a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Reggie Moore had another solid performance of his own, scoring 16 points and dishing out five assists and only turning the ball over twice.
The best stats came from the inside, where the Cougs out-rebounded Santa Clara 33-25 and out-scoring them 44-22 in the paint.
Up next for the Cougs is a date with Western Oregon at Beasley next Sunday at 4:35 p.m.
