Seattle Mariners second baseman Dylan Moore was recently in the spotlight when he joined MLB Network for an in-studio segment Monday, and the red-hot super utilityman was in the spotlight once again Tuesday in New York.

What a potential Seattle Mariners trade for an impact bat could look like

Moore, who was batting ninth and playing second base, blasted a pair of home runs in Tuesday night’s 6-3 victory over the New York Yankees. It was the third career multi-homer game for Moore and his fourth game with multiple extra base hits this season, which tied a career high. He added an RBI single and finished 3-for-4 with four RBIs.

Moore’s first home run came when he pulled a Clarke Schmidt fastball off the plate away 104.1 mph over the fence in left field to put the Mariners ahead 2-0 in the top of the third inning.

Moore later provided the M’s with some crucial insurance, crushing Nick Burdi’s fastball on the lower-outside part of the plate at 99 mph off the bat and into the crowd in right field for 6-3 advantage in the top of the ninth.

The performance helped the 31 year old raise his slash line to .243/.350/.504. Moore has six home runs and 19 RBIs in 39 games this season.
