For the third time in the Seahawks’ last four games, they come into the new week trying to shake off a disappointing loss.

The latest was a 30-24 defeat at home at the hands of the Carolina Panthers, who followed the blueprint of the Seahawks’ other recent opponents, winning the battle of the ground game both on offense and defense.
There was more to it than that, however.
To help us make sense of the loss – and why the Hawks were able to be in the game until the very end – Seattle Sports’ Michael Bumpus is back with another edition of his Game-Changing Plays series.
This week, the former NFL receiver and current co-host of Bump and Stacy breaks down:

The Seahawks don’t have much time to dwell on this loss, as they’re back in action at 5:15 p.m. Thursday night against the NFC West-leading 49ers in a huge game for Seattle’s postseason hopes. Coverage of the game begins on Seattle Sports 710 AM and KIRO Radio 97.3 FM with Bump and the rest of the pregame show crew at 2 p.m. Thursday.
