NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Lindsey Scott Jr. passed for 382 yards and five touchdowns, Marcus Cooper ran for a career-high 254 yards and two scores and Incarnate Word steamrolled Northwestern State 66-7 on Saturday.

Scott and Incarnate Word (10-1, 5-1 Southland Conference), ranked 7th in the FCS coaches poll, spotted Northwestern State (4-7, 4-2) a 7-0 lead before scoring 66 straight.

Scott had two touchdown passes in the first quarter, including a 10-yard scoring toss to Darion Chafin. Scott added an 18-yard scoring run and a short scoring toss to Jaelin Campbell in the second quarter as the Cardinals took a 31-7 halftime lead.

Scott threw touchdown passes to Chafin covering 51 and 48 yards around Cooper’s 67-yard scoring run and Incarnate Word led 52-7 after three quarters. Cooper had a 78-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Chafin had six catches for 143 yards.

Incarnate Word tied Southeast Louisiana with a 5-1 record in conference play, but the Lions were the lone team to beat the Cardinals — 41-35 in late September.
