The Seahawks had quite the lengthy and notable injury report on Friday ahead of their Week 8 clash with the New York Giants, but the majority of those players are set to play, including star receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

Wyman & Bob: The biggest surprises for the Seahawks this season

Both Metcalf and Lockett were questionable to play in Week 8. Metcalf exited last week’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers with a knee injury and it was thought he’d miss at least one week while Lockett was questionable for hamstring and rib injuries. But both will suit up against the Giants, who are one of the biggest surprise teams in the NFL this season at 6-1.

For Metcalf, that means he still has yet to miss a game since entering the league in 2019.

Additionally, linebacker Darrell Taylor (groin), defensive tackle Poona Ford (ankle), right guard Gabe Jackson (hip/knee) and Phil Haynes (concussion) are all active despite being listed as questionable.

Special teams captain Nick Bellore (concussion), receiver Penny Hart (hamstring) and cornerback Sidney Jones IV (groin) are all inactive due to injuries. Rounding out Seattle’s inactives list are backup safety Teez Tabor, offensive lineman Jake Curhan, defensive tackle Myles Adams and running back Tony Jones Jr.

The Seahawks activated running back Travis Homer from injured reserve and added linebacker Bruce Irvin and receiver Cade Johnson from the practice squad for the matchup with New York. Additionally, Sunday is the season debut of 2019 first-round defensive lineman L.J. Collier, who started the year on injured reserve due to an elbow injury.

The Giants enter this contest pretty beat up, especially on offense.

Starting rookie tackle Evan Neal (knee), starting tight end Daniel Bellinger (eye) and starting receiver Kenny Golladay (knee) are all out on offense while reserve cornerback Cor’Dale Flott (calf) and linebacker Oshane Ximines (quad) are also out. Former Seahawks linebacker Austin Calitro is a healthy scratch for New York.

The Giants are also without and starting left guard Ben Bredeson (knee) as he was placed on injured reserve this week.
