Seattle couldn’t find the big hit it needed in Thursday’s Game 2 at Minute Maid Park, and the Astros had more than a few themselves to win 4-2 and jump out to a 2-0 ALDS lead as the series shifts to T-Mobile Park on Saturday, which will be the first postseason game at Seattle’s home ballpark in 21 years.
What was the prevailing feeling after that loss? For Seattle Sports’ Wyman and Bob, it’s that the Astros are really good and have made the AL Championship Series five years running for a reason.
But that’s an oversimplification of what Dave Wyman and Bob Stelton had to say when they went on the air right after the Mariners Radio Network postgame show Thursday. You can hear all of their observations in the video of their entire first segment at the top of this post or the podcast of their full show below.
Catch Wyman and Bob from 2-7 p.m. weekdays on Seattle Sports 710 AM and streaming on SeattleSports.com and the Seattle Sports app, and subscribe to the Seattle Sports YouTube channel here.
Game 3 of the ALDS will air live Saturday on Seattle Sports featuring the full M’s radio broadcast team, with first pitch set for 1:07 p.m. and the pregame show beginning at noon. Seattle Sports will also have extended pregame coverage from 10 a.m. to noon airing live from Hatback Bar & Grille, which is on the other side of Dave Niehaus Way from T-Mobile Park.
