Through four weeks, Geno Smith has been cooking for the Seahawks at quarterback, leading the NFL in completion percentage and accounting for seven total touchdowns.

So just how good is Smith playing? And has he actually been the best quarterback in an NFC West division that includes a recent No. 1 overall pick and two quarterbacks who have led teams to Super Bowls?
Former NFL linebacker Dave Wyman shared his thoughts on Smith’s play, which culminated in NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 4, during a takeaways video for Seattle Sports 710 AM’s YouTube channel.
“I don’t think we’ve (ever) seen this from Geno,” Wyman said. “He’s really good.”
Wyman dove further into the play of the Hawks’ new starting quarterback, his numbers and how he compares to former Hawks quarterback Russell Wilson through his first four games with the Denver Broncos.
But Wyman, who hosts Seattle Sports 710 AM’s Wyman and Bob and calls every Seahawks game for the Seahawks Radio Network, didn’t stop with Smith. He also dove into what’s going on with Seattle’s struggling defense, who his biggest surprise players have been so far, who needs to get involved more going forward and where he expects the Seahawks, who are now 2-2 after a Week 4 win, to finish when the season is over.
