BUMP AND STACY
Bump’s Seahawks Breakdown: Who’s leading the QB competition?
With a new-look roster for the 2022 season, the Seahawks have plenty of starting jobs up for grabs in training camp. But no competition has more eyes on it than at quarterback.
Huard: 3 most intriguing Seahawks after first week of camp
The Seahawks will have a new starting quarterback for the first time in a decade as Russell Wilson was traded. Now, Geno Smith, Wilson’s backup from 2019-21 is back for his fourth year in Seattle and is facing off with Drew Lock, a 2019 second-round pick who came to the Seahawks from Denver in the blockbuster Wilson trade.
Someone’s who’s been watching that position battle very closely is Michael Bumpus, a former Seahawks receiver who now hosts Seattle Sports 710 AM’s Bump and Stacy, which you can hear every weekday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bumpus has been out at Seahawks training camp for the last few weeks and shared what he’s been seeing from both Smith and Lock in this competition, as well as what the two need to do to win the battle during his latest video breakdown for Seattle Sports 710 AM’s YouTube page. You can watch and/or listen to Bump’s thoughts and observations in the video at the top of this story, or at this link.
