After going hitless in his first start of the season, Guillermo Heredia is back at the leadoff spot and will be playing left field tonight in Game 2 against the Red Sox.
Heredia, who was called up Friday, came off the bench in each of the Mariners’ three games in Chicago over the weekend. He’s part of a right-handed heavy lineup against lefty David Price. The former Cy Young winner has posted a 9-7 record with a 4.67 ERA in his first year with Boston.
The Mariners counter with Wade LeBlanc, who is making his fourth start of the season.
The 7:10 p.m. game will be live on 710 ESPN Seattle after the pregame show, which starts at 6 p.m.
