The Seattle Kraken entered Friday with seven games remaining during the 2021 calendar year, but one of them has been postponed.
That game is the matchup with the Calgary Flames set for Dec. 23 in Calgary. A makeup date for that game has yet to be announced.
The NHL announced Friday that the Flames’ next six games are all postponed as the team is in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak.
The NHL also announced that the Colorado Avalanche’s next four games and the Florida Panthers’ next three games have also been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreaks. The Seattle Kraken do not play either of those two teams during that timeframe.
The Kraken return to action Saturday night against the Edmonton Oilers (Dec. 18) and then have games against the Toronto Maple Leafs (Dec. 19) and Arizona Coyotes (Dec. 21) before Christmas. The Kraken then return to action Dec. 27 against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Seattle Kraken do have another game scheduled against the Calgary Flames on Dec. 30, and it’s unclear whether that game will go on as currently scheduled.
