The Mariners are going back to a four-man bench, recalling outfielder Daniel Robertson on Tuesday and optioning bullpen member David Rollins to Triple-A Tacoma.
Seattle had been operating with a short bench and an extra reliever since June 24 when it sent veteran outfielder Norichika Aoki to Tacoma as part of a flurry of moves.

Robertson, 30, is a right-handed bat with 107 games of MLB experience over the past two seasons with the Angels (2015) and Rangers (2014). With the Rainiers this season, he has hit .262 with 26 runs, eight doubles, six triples, four home runs, 25 RBIs and seven stolen bases in 73 games.
Robertson was not initially on the 40-man roster. Seattle moved injured pitcher Adrian Sampson to the 60-day disabled list to make room for him.
The left-handed Rollins, 26, has thrown four scoreless innings in four appearances appearances over two separate stints with the Mariners this season. He has struck four and walked three.
The Mariners made one more move Tuesday, trading 2016 international signing slot compensation to Texas for minor-league outfielder Ryan Strausborger. The 28-year-old Strausborger was drafted in the 16th round in 2010 by Texas. He appeared in 31 games for Texas last season, hitting 9 for 45 (.200) with a home run, three RBIs and nine runs. With Triple-A Round Rock this year, he has a .288 average with four homers, eight doubles, 16 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
