The Seattle Mariners will host Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game in 2023 at T-Mobile Park, according to ESPN.
MLB would not comment or confirm that Seattle was chosen. Commissioner Rob Manfred is expected in town on Thursday for a major announcement.
The Mariners tweeted Tuesday morning that a “major announcement” would be made at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Seattle last hosted the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby at Safeco Field in 2001. The Mariners also hosted the 1979 All-Star Game at the Kingdome.
The 2022 MLB All-Star Game will take place at Dodger Stadium on July 19. The Dodgers were supposed to host in 2020, but the game was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Atlanta was meant to host in the summer of 2021, but the event was moved to Colorado’s Coors Field in protest of new voting laws.
