With Brett Favre deciding, for now, to join the Minnesota Vikings; today was filled with football talk.
Seahawk receiver Courtney Taylor hauled in 2 catches for 18 yards in Saturday’s preseason game. Taylor thinks that is pretty good but there is always improvement that can be made. Last year he managed only 9 catches for 98 yards, he called it a “humbling experience”. This will be his third season with the team, and thinks now is the time to breakout. Gus Bradley, a first year defensive coordinator from Tampa Bay, stoped by the tent and agreed with Mike that Colin Cole and Brandon Mebane were really impressive. Bradley pointed out specifically that Colin Cole running down a screen pass was a great play. Although Aaron Curry managed only 2 tackles on Saturday Bradley seemed to be impressed with the way that Curry played, especially considering the workload he has on his plate considering his late start at training camp. The Seahawk defensive coordinator got especially excited when he talked about being on the sidelines at Qwest Field for the first time, remembering his trip to Seattle with Tampa in 2006. Here is the entire interview .
You can’t talk football without having John Clayton on the show. He stopped by to talk Favre and Seahawks and everything in between. John said he saw the Favre return coming ever since the Viking’s Thursday practice when Sage Rosenfells and Tavarias Jackson both performed terribly. Mid-interview the professor interviewed Javon Walker at Oakland’s practice field, to get a feel for how Walker’s knee is doing. Walker’s status will be just one of the topics on Thursday at the First Annual Fantasy Football Camp with John Clayton .
