Brock Huard answers 3 football questions everyday at 1:40 in a segment called Blue 88. Today Brock added a deeper layer to the Brett Favre story and called out Brad Childress. Childress gave Favre a deadline to decide whether or not he would return to play football but a couple weeks later the Vikings coach and owner were calling Farve, asking him to come back. According to Brock that is no way to earn the trust of a football team.

The Hawks play the Denver Broncos tomorrow night in their second preseason game. When asked to give his take on Denver, Brock points out that 52% of their roster was not on the team last year. The average turnover rate for the NFL is 35% but with a new coach and a new GM the Broncos decided to “clean house”. The Hawks traded for Denver’s 2010 first round pick and with all the moving parts on their roster I think there’s a good chance it’ll be a top 10 pick.

Lastly Brock is asked about the Husky football team. According to him the wide receiver position look amazingly better than last year. Couple the receivers with a healthy Jake Locker and he sees an LSU game that won’t be a blow out, in fact if the Huskies get it going on offense early Brock thinks this game could be competitive into the second half. Those are more encouraging words than they might seem, as last season i saw the student section half empty by second half kickoff in most games. Go Dawgs.
