The Mariners and fans at Safeco Field will honor the “Peanut Man” before each game this weekend.

Rick Kaminski’s “fellow vendors are going to do a ceremonial first toss of peanuts into the audience right after the moment of silence and just before the National Anthem,” explained team spokesperson Rebecca Hale.

She said all vendors, for the rest of the season, will wear a black peanut-shaped patch on their sleeves with “Rick” stitched in white.

Fans will also get a chance to see memorabilia from Kaminski’s life displayed at the Baseball Museum of the Pacific Northwest and Seattle Mariners Hall of Face at Safeco Field for the rest of the season.

Kaminski, who’s been tossing peanuts to the crowd since 1977, died Wednesday after suffering a brain aneurysm. He was 67-years-old.

Friday night’s tribute begins at 6:35 p.m.
