Seahawks general manager said last week that bolstering the offensive and defensive lines ranks among the team’s highest offseason priorities.

A pair of mock drafts on NFLDraftScout.com predict the Seahawks will address those needs early in next month’s draft.

In his latest mock draft, Rob Rang has Seattle taking Illinois defensive tackle Corey Liuget (pictured in AP photo above) with the 25th pick.

Rang’s take: “The Seahawks’ greatest long-term need is undoubtedly at quarterback, but the team has plenty of holes along the offensive and defensive lines, as well. Sticking with the best player available philosophy, Seattle would be wise to consider Liuget, an explosive three-technique defensive tackle capable of helping immediately.”

The 6-foot-2, 298-pound Liuget is the third-best DT prospect in this year’s draft according to NFL Draft Scout. He ranks 15th on Mel Kiper’s Big Board.

Some more notes on Liuget:

    • Recorded eight sacks in three years at Illinois, including five as a junior last year

    • Second-team All-Big Ten selection in 2010

    • Ran a 4.97 in the 40-yard dash at combine and completed 27 bench reps

    • Has accepted an invitation to the NFL draft

    • Chat Reuter of NFLDraftScout.com has Liuget going No. 14 to St. Louis

Reuter has the Seahawks taking Florida OL Mike Pouncey in the first round and Iowa DE Christian Ballard in the second. Reuter thinks Pouncey, who played guard and center in college, could play either position for the Seahawks depending on where they decide to play Max Unger, who can also play both positions.

Reuter thinks Ballard would be a nice option to replace Raheem Brock, whose contract expired after a career-high nine sacks for the Seahawks last season.

Rang has the Seahawks taking TCU’s Andy Dalton in the second round (No. 57).
