The Seahawks have agreed to terms with defensive end Bruce Irvin, the 15th overall selection in last month’s draft.

The deal was first reported by ProFootballTalk.com and has been confirmed by the team.

Financial terms of Irvin’s deal were not disclosed, but it will presumably be similar to the four-year, $9.2 million deal that last year’s 15th overall pick, Mike Pouncey, received from the Dolphins.

Andrew Brandt of National Football Post reports that the deal is for four years, is worth a fully-guaranteed $9.34 million and includes a signing bonus of more than $5 million.

“I’m just ready to work the money is cool,” Irvin tweeted. “If you took the money away I still would play this game for free! #WVU #12thman.”

Irvin becomes the first 2012 first-round pick to sign a contract.

Update: The team has announced it has agreed to terms with eight of its 10 draft picks. Fourth-round picks Robert Turbin and Jaye Howard are the only players who have yet to agree to terms.
