A few notes from Wednesday’s training camp practice:

Matt Flynn threw a long pass to Terrell Owens, who juggled the football before grabbing it before it hit the turf. That play was worth the price of admission for fans and attending media at Wednesday’s Seahawks training camp session.

Owens surprised many by how lean and tall he is. He ran another crisp crossing route, and also battled Richard Sherman to grab a timing pattern on the sideline.

Flynn looked sharp in his role as quarterback of the No. 1 offense. He scrambled away from pressure and found Golden Tate on a deep sideline pattern.

Russell Wilson faced lots of pressure from the No. 1 defense as he led the second-team offense in 11-on-11 drills. Wilson did have a nice improvised shuffle pass to Cameron Morrah.

Several players continue to sit out of contact drills due to minor injuries, including receivers Ricardo Lockette and Doug Baldwin. Defensive tackle Alan Branch watched practice with a compression wrap on his left leg. Linebackers Matt McCoy and Jameson Konz were not wearing pads. Tight end Anthony McCoy’s hamstring is finally feeling well enough for him to participate in drills. Tight end Kellen Winslow had the day off to rest his knee.

Several fans yelled at Sherman to do a celebration dance on the sideline. The cornerback obliged with a Michael Jackson-style moonwalk. The fans roared their approval.

Seahawks radio announcer Steve Raible will not work Saturday night’s preseason game. His father passed away this week and Steve is back home in Kentucky. Another Steve will fill in for Raible. Steve Thomas, a former KIRO radio sports guy and voice of PLU football, joins ex-Seahawks linebacker Dave Wyman in the booth. You can listen to that game on 710 ESPN Seattle.
