Seahawks going with rookie Bobby Wagner at MLB

The Seahawks saw veteran middle linebacker Barrett Ruud as insurance in case rookie Bobby Wagner wasn’t ready to assume a starting role.
Their decision to trade Ruud to the Saints for an undisclosed draft pick on Monday said plenty about their confidence in Wagner. Wagner, Seattle’s second-round pick, was officially named the starter on Tuesday.
