Seahawks’ Russell Okung inactive vs. Cowboys
By Brady Henderson
Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung is inactive for Seattle’s Week 2 matchup against Dallas due to a bone bruise in his left knee.
Okung sustained the injury in the opener and was limited in practice for much of last week. Coach Pete Carroll said he’d be a game-time decision.
Veteran Frank Omiyale will start in Okung’s place.
Tight end Zach Miller (foot) and receiver Sidney Rice (knee) are both active despite some uncertainty early last week about their availability. Carroll said Friday that both were expected to play.
As expected, receiver Charly Martin is inactive after bruising his lung in the opener.
The rest of the Seahawks’ inactives: RB Kregg Lumpkin, SS Winston Guy, CB Jeremy Lane, G James Carpenter, and DT Jaye Howard.
Dallas’ inactives: WR Cole Beasley, WR Andre Holmes, CB Mario Butler, S Matt Johnson, LB Kyle Wilbur, C Phil Costa, and NT Jay Ratliff.
For those of you who are wondering, the Seahawks are wearing blue tops and blue pants, the same combination they wore in both of their home preseason games.
