Brandon Browner’s relentlessly physical play harassed opposing receivers and helped the Seahawks cornerback make the Pro Bowl as an injury alternate last season.
It also led to a league-leading 19 penalties, a number Browner entered this season intent on reducing.
He has three penalties through three games, including one for a hit on Monday night that drew an unnecessary roughness penalty and a $7,875 fine from the NFL. He was flagged for illegal hands to the face earlier in the game, and also drew a penalty for holding in the season opener.
John Clayton discussed Browner’s sometimes overly physical play when he joined “Bob and Groz” on Friday. In the video below, Stelton and Dave Wyman discuss whether Browner needs to dial it back to avoid it becoming a detriment.
