Seahawks guard John Moffitt did not participate in practice on Wednesday and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Carolina.
Moffitt was also inactive last week due to a knee injury he sustained during the Monday night win over Green Bay. With the return of guard James Carpenter to the left side, Paul McQuistan is expected to get the start again at right guard on Sunday.
Cornerback Marcus Trufant was also sidelined on Wednesday with a back injury. Coach Pete Carroll said Trufant had experienced soreness during the Rams game. Trufant has battled recurring back issues over the last couple of seasons and his status for Sunday’s game remains uncertain. Danny Gorrer and Byron Maxwell are likely replacements at the nickel spot.
Running back Marshawn Lynch was limited in practice on Wednesday for rest purposes.
Defensive lineman Jaye Howard has yet to participate since injuring his foot during practice last week.
