The Seahawks’ Tuesday injury report was a bit improved from Monday. Safety Kam Chancellor was limited in practice with an ankle issue. Defensive lineman Clinton McDonald (groin) was a full-go in practice.
Guard John Moffitt is ruled out of Thursday night’s game against San Francisco with a knee injury.
A break in our October rain allowed the Seahawks to practice outdoors at team headquarters. This workout would be a normal Thursday before a Sunday game.
Players we spoke with, including veteran fullback Michael Robinson and linebacker Leroy Hill, admit the short turnaround for a Thursday night game is difficult on the body. They both said it will take mental toughness to get ready for the road game so quickly.
If you expected 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh to give up any bulletin-board material to the Seahawks, guess again. Seattle media asked him 12 total questions, and Harbaugh gave bland, short answers.
For example, we asked how he would evaluate Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.
“He’s a very good, winning quarterback, who’s very competitive, and other attributes that he has, too,” Harbaugh said.
OK, coach. How about Seattle’s defense — any thoughts on them?
“I expect to see a very talented, fast, aggressive defense,” Harbaugh replied.
The Seahawks will work out Wednesday morning before leaving for the Bay Area.
