After being scratched from the lineup Sunday because of soreness in his forearm, Nelson Cruz will be the DH and bat cleanup Monday in the first of a three-game series with Tampa Bay. Meanwhile, righty Dae-Ho Lee will get the start at first base against Rays’ lefty Matt Moore. Franklin Gutierrez, who is batting .216 with no home runs in 37 at-bats, also gets the nod in right field.
On the mound, Felix Hernandez looks to break a tie with Jamie Moyer as the franchise’s all-time leader in wins.
Game 1 of the series in Seattle starts at 7:10 on 710 ESPN Seattle.
