Former Washington cornerback Desmond Trufant gained even more pre-draft momentum with a strong performance at the scouting combine that included a time of 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, third best among defensive backs.
That prompted ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper to move Trufant into his rankings of the top 25 prospects.
John Clayton was convinced, too.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that Trufant, he’s a first-round pick,” Clayton said during “Cold Hard Facts” Wednesday.
