Seahawk Sidney Rice surprises NFL fans in Switzerland at BBQ

“So guys, it’s no big deal, but I just invited Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice to our barbeque.”
Yes, if your friend said that to you, you’d probably say they were dreaming – or even delusional to think a professional football player would show up for some dinner and to play Madden.
But that’s exactly what Sidney Rice did.
“They were just NFL fans, they were playing Madden online, and they saw the update that I was in Switzerland,” Rice told “Brock and Danny.” “So he tweeted me and sent me an invite to his BBQ. It was (Swiss National Day,) which was similar to our 4th of July.”
So after his 20-minute procedure (which will reduce the discomfort from patella tendinitis in his knee,) Rice headed over to the party.
He hadn’t told the party he was taking them up on their invitation ahead of time.
“I just thought it would be cool,” he said. “I thought it would be nice to surprise someone.”
So the group broke bread (or chicken kebabs and steak) and played a little Madden.
Rice said he “let them win” the video game.
