The Seahawks made four more moves Tuesday afternoon to comply with the league-mandated 75-man roster limit, most notably placing wide receiver Percy Harvin on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.
Also placed on the Reserve/PUP list were rookie cornerback Tharold Simon and defensive end Greg Scruggs. Linebacker Korey Toomer was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. Those players must miss at least the first six games and aren’t eligible to begin practicing until Oct. 15.
NFL teams had until 1 p.m. Tuesday to reduce their rosters to 75. Rosters must be reduced to 53 by 3 p.m. Saturday.
Earlier Tuesday, Seattle released cornerback Will Blackmon and wide receiver Donavon Kemp. The team made nine roster moves on Monday, releasing eight players and placing rookie defensive tackle Jesse Williams on injured reserve.
