The Mariners are entering the final month of the two-month 2020 baseball season, so there have been enough games to get an idea of what the team is – at least in this shortened campaign.

In the latest Just a Minute segment with legendary Seattle radio voice Dave “The Groz” Grosby, 710 ESPN Seattle’s host emeritus breaks down his assessment of the team. That includes highlights like Kyle Lewis and low-lights like the bullpen, but also something true of the franchise that he says hasn’t been that way for a long time.
“Part of me wonders how patient the fanbase and ownership will be with the long-term rebuilding plan. The Mariners’ plan is to contend next year, and if so, a bunch more youngsters will have to step up. For the first time in years, though, that’s something that’s happening with the Mariners,” Groz states in the attached video.
