Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been fined $50,000 for violating the league’s media policy by not talking to the media throughout the season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The league was seemingly the last to know of Lynch’s refusal to speak during 2013, as the fine came down just days after he made a minor commotion by briefly answering questions from the media after practice Friday.
Lynch, who finished the regular season with 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns rushing, talked for less than 90 seconds with the media Friday.
According to Schefter, the NFL was unaware until this past week that Lynch had not made himself available to the media all season.
Lynch will be in action in the top-seeded Seahawks’ NFC divisional playoff game against the New Orleans Saints at 1:35 p.m. next Saturday at CenturyLink Field.
