Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Friday morning that he’s still unsure of wide receiver Percy Harvin’s status for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

“I haven’t heard from … the doctors today yet,” Carroll told “The Morning News” on KIRO Radio 97.3 FM. “We won’t know for a while.”

About the only thing that’s certain is that Harvin is running out of time to return from the concussion he sustained last weekend against New Orleans. He sat out of practice Wednesday and Thursday and would likely need to practice Friday in order to have a chance to play Sunday.

Harvin’s status will become more clear – if not certain – after the Seahawks’ 11:30 practice Friday. Carroll is scheduled to meet with the media afterward and the team will then release its final injury report.
